Aims of the Personal Trainer Course

The aim of the ITEC QCF Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training & Award in Nutrition for Physical Activity is to enable candidates to provide clients with personalised fitness training, and nutritional programmes for their individual needs. Improving clients overall fitness including strength, flexibility and cardio-respiratory function. You will also learn to give detailed lifestyle advice to maintain all aspects of their health, fitness and well being.

What are the benefits of becoming a Personal Trainer?

As an ITEC QCF Level 3 Personal Trainer you have the ability and opportunity to make a real difference in peoples lives when it comes to their health and fitness. What many people are unable to do on their own, they can accomplish with the motivation and support of a personal trainer.

What are the minimum requirements for joining the  Course?

To become an ITEC QCF Level 3 Personal Trainer you must meet all of the following minimum requirements:

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Possess a QCF Level 2 qualification in fitness instruction or similar.
  • Current Adult CPR certification with a practical skills component (such as the American Heart Association or American Red Cross) – This is available from Litton Lane Training if required and can be done alongside the ITEC course.

What is the ACSM Certified Personal Training preparation Course?

The American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) certified personal training preparation course provides candidates with the knowledge, skills and ability necessary to successfully complete the ACSM CPT theory examination. In conjunction with the ITEC syllabus the course will aim to provide students with a strong understanding of the scientific approach to personal training. Incorporating aspects of both the ACSM and ITEC personal training syllabus will enable candidates to achieve a much more confident approach to personal training.

The cost of the course is €1,695 – which includes:

  • ITEC examination fees
